The 2024 disc golf season is upon us and so is our new game! We release the new iWall game, Disc Golf, on March 18, 2024. All our customers will receive an update by March 18th. As our valued customer, there’s no need for you to take any action. Just sit back, relax, and we’ll take care of the update for your iWall.
What is Disc Golf all about?
We wanted to make a game that anyone can play. The idea of frisbee golf is easy to understand and the only movement necessary to play the game is a swing of the hand. The developers are also fans of the sport themselves.
We knew right from the design stage that we didn’t want to make the game a simulator, so that as many people as possible could have a successful and fun active gaming experience. Therefore, the correctness of the throwing technique is not important, only the direction and speed of the hand determine the starting position. We also wanted to deviate from realism in that the disc’s trajectory can be fine-tuned during flight by tilting and jumping. Despite these improvements, the game has a lot of room for improvement even for a more experienced player.
Disc Golf is expected to be successful in Finland and the United States, where the sport is well-known and strong. We will be delighted if the game reaches almost as much popularity as the soccer game Top Shot Soccer released in 2023. It was already played 1.7 million times in the first month, which means about 54,000 games per day!
Disc Golf has 6 difficulty levels and can be played by 1-2 players at a time. We believe that the game inspires even those with little mobility to move in a fun way, but the more difficult levels are enough of a challenge for even more experienced players. This ideology is the same in all iWall games – exercise goes unnoticed while having fun and the games retain their appeal year after year.
