For multi-professional rehabilitation
rehabWall activates various functions of the brain in a variety of ways, such as alertness, motor skills, perceptual ability, and ERP skills. rehabWall’s 14 exercises and self-help exercises have been developed in collaboration with various expert therapists. The games utilize virtual glasses, a balance pad, a motion sensor, and a touch screen.
The games have plenty of adjustments and difficulty levels. In this way, an appropriate level of difficulty can be set for each rehabilitator and the exercises produce experiences of success. At the same time, the rehabilitator’s progress can be easily measured.
Active games for the youngest kids
tapWall games activate the upper body, engaging in memory, reaction speed, and eye-hand coordination, as well as visual perception. Playing together also teaches social skills.
tapWall is very compact in size and takes up little floor and wall space. Different games can be played alone or together. Touch screen games entice kids to learn something new and spend active screen time.
Combines non-motorized treadmills with exergaming
runBEAT is a versatile tool for both individual and small group training. It allows users of different fitness levels to train together at their own level. There is no need for anyone to change their pace to train together.
runBEAT has a variety of training modes and fitness tests in a variety of stunning virtual environments where game characters progress at the speed at which a person walking or running on a treadmill moves. Virtual environments are located e.g. forest paths or the beautiful Greek cityscape. During the exercise, the user receives instructions and feedback from the game.
Exergaming experiences and playing together
Fully motion sensor-controlled iWall works for everyone regardless of age, and background. There is a wide variety of games available, from relaxing yoga and body balance games to high-intensity running and dancing.
iWall is great for anyone, regardless of age, background, or skill level, to maintain and improve performance. For example, iWall can be used for balance and coordination and to increase heart rate. Several games can be played from the wheelchair.
Exergames give the rehabilitator a new way to move around and enable joint exercise moments, for example, with relatives in the ward, or together with a therapist.
Motorcycle and motocross games for rehabilitators of all ages
Motorcycle and motocross games for rehabilitators of all ages. With the help of buttons, rehabilitator can roam in the open world or do tricks on the track.
cycloBEAT is an immersive experience with seat bikes. The bikes are safe and there are armrests at the front. Motorcycles progress in the game at the rate at which the seat bike is cycled. The electric resistance of the bike automatically provides additional resistance as the game progresses uphill. Game durations vary from about a minute to several minutes, depending on the level of difficulty you choose.
“Using the device has also been a nice thing for families to do when they have come to visit a relative at the ward. Gamification can provide a pleasant break from everyday life at the hospital ward.”
Occupational therapist Raija Romppainen, Kainuu Sote
